Grinding Wheel

A grinding wheel is a circular abrasive tool made of abrasive grains bonded together by ceramic, resin, or other binders. It is widely used in metal cutting, grinding, polishing, and surface finishing. With its high hardness, wear resistance, and cutting efficiency, grinding wheels are indispensable in machinery manufacturing, mold making, and stainless steel processing.

Depending on abrasive materials, grit sizes, and hardness, grinding wheels can achieve coarse grinding, semi-finishing, and fine polishing. They are suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, alloys, glass, ceramics, and stone processing.

Types of Grinding Wheels

1. By Abrasive Material

   • Aluminum Oxide Wheel: General-purpose, for steel and tool steels.

   • White Aluminum Oxide Wheel: Sharp, for hardened steels and HSS.

   • Green Silicon Carbide Wheel: Hard, for carbide, glass, ceramics.

   • Black Silicon Carbide Wheel: For cast iron and non-ferrous metals.

   • Diamond Wheel: Ultra-hard, for ceramics, stone, carbide precision grinding.

   • CBN Wheel (Cubic Boron Nitride): Long life, for hardened steels and HSS.

2. By Bonding Material

   • Vitrified Bond Wheel: Strong cutting, high hardness.

   • Resin Bond Wheel: Elastic, smooth surface finish.

   • Rubber Bond Wheel: For fine grinding and mirror finishing.

3. By Application

   • Cut-off Wheel: Cutting metal bars and pipes.

   • Straight Grinding Wheel: General surface grinding.
